I have worked at City Bridge Dental since 2010. Working at City Bridge is unique, as we have a patient-centric approach to dental services. This allows me to provide longer appointment times to ensure I give tailored treatment and advice to each and every patient I see. I enjoy the challenge of helping patients maintain more complex treatment plans here at City Bridge; whether it be full mouth implants, complex orthodontic treatment or periodontal maintenance appointments. I enjoy providing a service that helps take prevention of dental health problems to the next level. I am also available to treat patients under the new direct access scheme.
I have had an extensive career in Dentistry, having worked as a Dental Nurse, Dental Health Educator and NVQ Dental Nurse Assessor. I was also the Dental and Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager for Glaxo –SmithKline (GSK), where I sat on a panel of experts and helped design dental nursery educational resources for schools. I used my knowledge of child dental health to help launch “Ribena tooth-kind” to the dental profession and liaised following the conflict of opinion with the National Sugar Bureau. After this broad list of roles, it seemed like natural progression to become a Dental Hygienist and Therapist, leading me to my role at City Bridge.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two teenage children. I am involved in a number of charities, all of which are close to my heart, which are listed below. In my spare time, I enjoy indulging my keen interest in astrology and playing tennis.

My role at City Bridge is that of Dental Hygienist/Therapist. Predominately, I support the dentist with their patients oral hygiene and aid them in controlling their gum disease. I work alongside the periodontist providing help and support for patients needing continuous oral hygiene guidance. Being dual qualified, I also do basic dentistry which allows me to offer more time and support for children needing restorative work. I find my role extremely rewarding as I can help patients overcome their anxieties and fears and motivate them to change their health for the future. Seeing fantastic results achieved by my patients is extremely satisfying.
After qualifying as a dental therapist and hygienist in 2009, I completed two years in community one of which was completing a vocational training scheme for undergraduates. Working in a community sector gave me an understanding of the challenges experienced by those who are phobic, disabled, bariatric and geriatric. I also sat on the board of dental therapists supporting the changes for Direct Access.
I would like my patients to feel listened to and understood so that I can help them feel enthused about their treatment.
Before dentistry, I worked as a beauty therapist for a major airline in upper class, this contributed to my love of travel and health spas! I love all sport and regularly do Pilates, yoga or long country walks. I’m always looking for a good book so any suggestions from my patients are graciously received!
