I focus on an understanding and friendly service combined with the highest level of care.
After working in hospital oral surgery departments and NHS general practice, I chose to concentrate on restorative dentistry and undertook a four year master's degree in prosthodontics. This provided the highest level training in all areas of restorative dentistry including cosmetic fillings, composite build ups, onlays, crown and bridge restorations, dentures, and dental implants.
Following on from this I embarked on a 2 year implant specific master’s degree at Guy’s Hospital in London to obtain the highest level of training in implant surgery, bone grafting (augmentation) and restoration. This lead to my role as partner and lead clinician at City Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic.
I am dedicated to upholding City Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic’s reputation as a centre for dental excellence. We always aim to provide a friendly and relaxed atmosphere combined with the highest level of care. As a Dental Phobia Certified dentist, I want to ensure every patient feels confident when visiting the practice and I am experienced in helping nervous patients get the treatment they desire. I also enjoy helping patients transform their smile through cosmetic dentistry.

George is a compassionate clinician that uses his endodontic expertise to deliver high quality of treatment, with patient’s best interest in mind.
Following his graduation in Dentistry in 2011, he gained an invaluable experience in managing dental pain and endodontic emergencies, working for two years in military and regional hospitals in Greece. These experiences fostered his interest in enhancing his endodontic clinical skills, to accurately diagnose and relieve patients from pain and help them save compromised teeth. He then embarked on the three-year specialist training programme in Endodontology at the world renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute, fulfilling the GDC and ESE requirements for endodontic specialist accreditation. He graduated with Distinction in 2016 and was awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontology, followed by the successful completion of the Membership in Endodontics examinations by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
George is passionate about delivering endodontic care and is committed to providing the highest quality of treatment, with attention to detail and ensuring patient comfort. He enjoys taking time to thoroughly discuss treatment options with his patients to aid in their informed decisions. His excellent knowledge and integration of Endodontic science to clinical practice and his wish to transfer his skills to his peers, resulted in his appointment as Clinical Lecturer and Deputy Director of the Endodontic Masters programmes at the world-renowned UCL Eastman Dental institute. He served this role for four years being heavily involved in teaching and clinical supervision of aspiring endodontic specialists, coaching them to fulfil their potential. His commitment to teaching and learning was affirmed by his recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His research was published in international journals and focused on investigating bacterial mechanisms that influence root canal disinfection and how to tackle them, to optimise the long-term success of root canal treatment. He is currently limiting his practice to endodontics, working in private practices in London, Winchester and Hitchin. He is experienced in providing the full spectrum of endodontic services, including clinical diagnosis and management of dental pain, conventional root canal treatment and re-treatment cases, and has a particular interest in managing technically demanding cases and saving compromised teeth.

Working at City Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic is unique, as well as being a private referral practice but we have a patient-centric approach to dental services. This allows me to provide longer appointment times to ensure I give tailored treatment and advice to each and every patient I see. I enjoy the challenge of helping patients maintain more complex treatment plans; whether it be full mouth implants, complex orthodontic treatment or periodontal maintenance appointments.
I enjoy providing a service that helps take prevention of dental health problems to the next level and am fortunate enough to use the latest equipment (e.g, EMS airflow) to help me achieve this. I also treat patients under the direct access scheme and prescribe and take necessary radiographs.
I have had an extensive career in Dentistry, having started my career as a Dental Nurse, Dental Health Educator and then an NVQ Dental Nurse Assessor.
Prior to this I worked for Blue Chip Company Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) as a Dental and Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager. I gained a qualification for the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and sat on a panel of experts to design educational resources for schools.
I used my knowledge of child dental health to help liaise with the National Sugar Bureau and launch “Ribena tooth-kind” to the dental profession. After this broad list of roles, it seemed like natural progression to become a Dental Hygienist and Therapist, leading me to my role at City Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic. I am proud to be part of the Portman Hygienist and Therapist Forum and to be involved in decisions affecting my working day.

I enjoy helping my patients overcome their anxieties and fears and motivating them to change their health for the future.
My role at City Bridge Dental & Implant Clinic is that of Dental Hygienist and Therapist. Predominately, I support the dentist with their patients oral hygiene and aid them in controlling their gum disease. I find my role extremely rewarding as I can help patients overcome their anxieties and fears and motivate them to change their health for the future. Seeing fantastic results achieved by my patients is extremely satisfying.
After qualifying as a dental therapist and hygienist in 2009, I completed two years in community one of which was completing a vocational training scheme for undergraduates. Working in a community sector gave me an understanding of the challenges experienced by those who are phobic, disabled, bariatric and geriatric. I also sat on the board of dental therapists supporting the changes for Direct Access.
I would like my patients to feel listened to and understood so that I can help them feel enthused about their treatment.
Before dentistry, I worked as a beauty therapist for a major airline in upper class, this contributed to my love of travel and health spas! I love all sport and regularly do Pilates, yoga or long country walks. I’m always looking for a good book so any suggestions from my patients are graciously received!
