City Bridge waves its Wand for pain-free anaesthetic

There are many reasons why people put off going to the dentist. One of the most common, of course, is the syringe; people say, “It’s bad enough when the doctor gives you a flu jab, but at least you can look away; the dental syringe just comes straight at you.”

City Bridge Dental wants everyone to get the treatment they need, without fear. That’s why we have invested in the Wand, to make the syringe a thing of the past.

This computer controlled system is a logical progression from the syringe which has seen little change, since its invention more than 150 years ago. With the Wand, dentists can bring one of the profession’s last remaining antiquated designs into the 21st century.

It’s not just phobics who benefit when dentists use the Wand; it improves the whole dental experience for all patients. It helps the dentist too – not even the most hardened professional can relax when their patient is backing away and clutching the chair, rigid, for dear life. So, the dentist will look more comfortable using the Wand, as it is simply held like a pen.

This handpiece gives a supply of anaesthetic in a slow comfortable manner. The Wand works at a low pressure and a slow rate that gives an improved anaesthesia. Because this is more effective than traditional anaesthetics, it results in a more pleasant experience.

Patients often say: ‘When are you going to do it?’
